Program: Gary Liebisch of Nautel. Here is an abstract from a recent email.

My topic will be HD Multiplex, a technology demonstration that Nautel presented at the NAB this year,
and which will be the subject of a paper by Philipp Schmid of Nautel at this year’s IEEE Broadcast Symposium in Orlando.
HD Multiplex aggregates the data payload of up to three Exgine systems in adjacent FM channels to yield up
to 15 channels in 600 kHz of bandwidth. It is a much more efficient use of FM bandwidth and theoretically could
accommodate a “repack” of the FM band, lowering interference and with room left over for AM migration.
It can be achieved with today’s existing hardware and within the current band limits.
